Episode 11 – Maximizing Credit Card Rewards

Ahh, special 45 minute episode. This episode will walk you through how ROM has saved ten’s of thousands on travel the last couple years. Be careful with credit cards, but if you can be organized and always pay them off in full you can turn the tables on the credit card companies and have them paying you to use them. Feel free to reach out at contact@reignovermoney.com if you have any questions or comments.

Episode 10 – Understanding How Taxes Work

Sorry all, got a bit behind on the website but here is last weeks Episode on an overview of personal taxation. My one goal for everyone, try to do your taxes at least once. Doesn’t mean you have to file them but walking through the process allows you to see how each part of your income, deductions and credits effects your bottom line for taxes. As a reminder Reign Over Money is not a tax professional, just someone that actually loves taxes and understanding how they work. Hope you enjoy it!

Episode 9 – Expectations When Working With a Financial Advisor

Following up to Episode 8 “Choosing a Financial Advisor”, I go a little deeper on what to look for in an advisor, including looking for those with a CFP of ChFC designation. Also, I discuss expectations an advisor will have of a client and what a client should expect out of an advisor including portfolio performance and communication timing.

Episode 6 – Investing Foundation

We are up and running with Episode 6 and I’m FINALLY talking about investing. I know it’s the sizzle but in the building blocks of Reign Over Money we’ve got to get your budget and organization in place before we can move on. I’ll talk about “The Trinity” of accounts one should strive to build, a tax-deferred account, tax-free account and taxable account and how you can get access to those. Enjoy and feel free to comment, subscribe or share. Available below and YouTube and wherever you get your Podcasts from.

Episode 4 – How we save on groceries

Little delayed on this post but check out how we juggle the grocery store portion of our budget. Quick hint, it’s a lot of Aldi’s and Costco.
Also a highlight – Costco gas savings alone can many times offset the Gold Star annual membership of $60 so keep that in mind if leery of the annual charge.
