Episode 13 – Financial Planning vs. Retirement Planning

Breaking down the differences in the two terms. The focus on Episode 13 is on the holistic process of financial planning with retirement planning coming in the next episode of Reign Over Money. The financial planning discussion focuses on what all goes into a financial plan and Kevin discusses a tool he has used for years to track his financial plan, The Flexible Retirement Planner.

Episode 12 – Make Your Money Sweat!

We’re talking about ways to take advantage of current interest rates and earn more on lazy money that just may be hanging out in your bank account earning very little. Also, a high-level overview of additional interest earning options such as tax-free bonds and dividend paying stocks for those willing to take on a bit more risk.

Updated Tools and Tidbits Page with Episode Links

In Episode 11 I mentioned multiple Chase and Capital One Rewards cards that stand out. I’ve added links to both for review and also comparison.

Episode 11 – Maximizing Credit Card Rewards

Ahh, special 45 minute episode. This episode will walk you through how ROM has saved ten’s of thousands on travel the last couple years. Be careful with credit cards, but if you can be organized and always pay them off in full you can turn the tables on the credit card companies and have them paying you to use them. Feel free to reach out at contact@reignovermoney.com if you have any questions or comments.

Episode 10 – Understanding How Taxes Work

Sorry all, got a bit behind on the website but here is last weeks Episode on an overview of personal taxation. My one goal for everyone, try to do your taxes at least once. Doesn’t mean you have to file them but walking through the process allows you to see how each part of your income, deductions and credits effects your bottom line for taxes. As a reminder Reign Over Money is not a tax professional, just someone that actually loves taxes and understanding how they work. Hope you enjoy it!
